Independent Baptist Church

Pleasantville PA

Pastor Richard La Rocque

The church has under gone some major building projects.  New siding on the outside, new sidewalks and soon a new church sign is a testimony of good stewardship.

It was good to be back here and see some old friends and meet many new folks.  The ministry is expanding and reaching children and young people in the area.  Sunday Morning there was one saved and during the days I was here the altar was well visited as the Lord spoke to hearts both young and old alike.

Each night before the Revival meeting I met with the young people for a time of Bible teaching and instruction.  They were very attentive and faithful in their attendance for their special time with Brother Souza.

Brother Jeff Sievers shows a burden on their behalf as he leads them as their Youth Pastor.

The church maintains an
active missions program.

Special music is always a blessing and this dear saint of God was an extra special blessing.  Blind in her eyes she sang with spiritual vision so lacking in others.

Her sweet smile, lovely voice and faithful testimony of God's grace was so evident and powerful.

It was a joy to hear her sing of the Lord she loved and served.

Again my heart was so moved and blessed as I saw so many serve the Lord.  Praise God, age or blindness are not factors that hinder us from being faithful to His calling and work.

Each night this dear sister faithfully and skillfully played for the singing and invitation.

Special Music

Seems like everyone got involved one way or another and especially
in the area of special music.  Both young and old, wither it be
a group, duet, or solo served the Lord in song.

Pastor La Rocque and his family have been called of God to work in this harvest field.   Along with the faith, zeal and vision of the church may there be a great reaping of souls.
